This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. We keep things simple — we collect only what we need and never sell your data.

1. Who we are

Lumio Tools Ltd ("Lumio", "we", "us") provides AI and SEO visibility tools for education marketers. Our registered address and company details are available on request at hello@lumiotools.com.

2. What data we collect

Account data

When you create an account we collect your name and email address. If you subscribe to Pro we use Stripe to process payment — we do not store your card details on our servers. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant.

Usage data

When you use our tools we store the URLs you analyse and the results generated. This allows us to show you your analysis history and improve the tools over time. We also collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and debugging purposes.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how people use the site — this sets cookies on your device. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies beyond this.

3. How we use your data

• To provide, operate and improve Lumio tools
• To send you transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, subscription receipts)
• To send you product update emails if you have an account (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• To prevent fraud and ensure security
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services

We share data with the following third parties only as necessary to operate the service:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics. Google Privacy Policy
• DataForSEO — keyword and search ranking data used to power tool results. Data is processed server-side and not linked to your identity.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it for legal or financial compliance reasons (for example, payment records).

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict how we process your data
• Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a machine-readable format

7. Security

We use HTTPS throughout the site, store passwords as salted hashes, and restrict access to production systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Lumio is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify account holders of significant changes by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
